This page explains how we handle information from website visitors and people who request a demonstration. Data processing for pilots and the product is covered separately.

Information we receive
The contact form sends us your name, role, company, work email and any equipment or enquiry details you choose to provide. Required fields are marked. Without those details, we may be unable to reply.
Our hosting service may record your IP address, browser, requested page and access time to deliver and protect the site. Interactive demonstrations use example data; they do not receive readings from your machines.
Why we use it
We use enquiries to reply, arrange a demonstration and follow up on the conversation you requested. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries or, where applicable, steps you request before entering a contract. Technical logs serve our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.
If you accept visit analytics, Google Analytics may measure pages viewed and general visit and device information. This relies on your consent. We do not send contact-form fields to Analytics. You can withdraw consent through cookie preferences.
Who can receive it
Authorised Talpeye staff and providers needed for hosting, forms and email may handle enquiries. This site uses Vercel for hosting and Web3Forms for form submissions. Google receives analytics data only when analytics is enabled and you accept it.
Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. These transfers must meet GDPR requirements, including an adequacy decision or safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about recipients and safeguards that apply to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Enquiry retention depends on the ongoing conversation, the follow-up you requested and applicable legal obligations. Information is kept for those purposes, rather than for an unlimited period. Contact us to ask about the period that applies to your enquiry or to request deletion.
Your cookie choice is kept for 180 days. When allowed, this site’s analytics cookies last up to 180 days. Retention of data in hosting, email and analytics services also depends on their account settings.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to hello@talpeye.com; we may need information to verify your identity.
You can also complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at cnpd.pt. This site does not make automated decisions with legal effects on visitors.
